Vibration analysis of a bowed string involving dynamics of a soundbox and neck and its application to a Chinese traditional bowed string instrument "Erhu"

چکیده

In this paper, the author extends existing analysis methods for bowed string vibration to that involving dynamics of a soundbox and neck instrument. Almost all components instrument such as strings, nut, tuning pegs, neck, soundbox, bridge are physically modeled numerically analyzed by finite element method, thereby yielding an equation motion total multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) system. Then, MDOF system is introduced into equivalent circuit representation vibrations string. The developed method applied physical modeling sound synthesis erhu, Chinese traditional Trial numerical calculations demonstrate effective in erhu also has potential analyze three-dimensional spatial effect interaction between vibrations.
